Hawaii Day 3

Thursday, February 14, 2008

Today we drove around to the beaches sounth of Kona trying to find a good place to go with the kiddies when everyone says they want to go to the beach.  While out we vistied Pu'uhonua o Honaunau. It was pretty neat. Kind of small. I think it's probably the smallest National Park I've been to. But admition was only $5 for all of us so that wasn't bad. It had some neat building and carvings. It was kinda like the PCC but on the beach and without people to interact with. After that we headed back into town. Traffic was horendious for anyone drving south, backed up from Kailua-Kona to Captin Cook.  So it's a good thing we were heading North. We went to Costco and picked up some chicken and some ice cream. Then headed back to the Pargett's and had a BBQ it was fun. The church behind them provided us with chior singing and we were visited by a gecko and praying mantis. We kept them up late talking to them (the Pargett's not the critters). Good times.
